Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using Story Subtitler ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Description of Service
Story Subtitler is a mobile application that generates subtitles for vertical videos. You select a video, the App uploads it to our server for speech recognition, and returns timed subtitles overlaid on your video.
2. User Content
You retain all rights to the videos you process through the App. Your videos are uploaded to our server solely for the purpose of generating subtitles and are deleted immediately after processing. We do not store, review, or share your content.
You are solely responsible for the content you process and share. You agree not to use the App with content that violates any applicable laws or infringes on the rights of others.
3. Subscriptions & Payments
The App may offer optional subscription plans ("Subtitled Pro") that unlock premium features. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account and are subject to the following terms:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the subscription rate.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings.
- No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period. Refund requests must be directed to Apple.
4. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App.
5. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or overload the App's servers or infrastructure.
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that subtitle generation will be accurate, complete, or error-free. Speech recognition results depend on audio quality, language, and other factors.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to the App or other users.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
